Baclofen is indicated for the management of spasticity associated with multiple sclerosis (S sclerosis). It has been well established that baclofen can enhance muscle relaxation and reduce spasticity.
Baclofen is contraindicated in patients with a history of cerebrovascular accidents (stroke), cerebral palsy, or other central nervous system disorders. Baclofen is not recommended in patients who are or may potentially be at risk of developing an infection. It is not recommended for use in patients with a known history of or predisposition to central nervous system disorders. Patients with a cerebrovascular accident (stroke, transient ischemic attack, or other) and concomitant administration of baclofen should be monitored closely. Baclofen may be initiated by intravenous injection or by intramuscular injection. In the setting of baclofen overdose, caution should be used to monitor for complications and ensure appropriate use of baclofen.
Baclofen should be discontinued in patients at risk for baclofen toxicity, in patients with a history of baclofen intoxication, and in patients with an active infection. Patients should be monitored for any adverse effects of baclofen. Baclofen should be discontinued in patients with a history of baclofen toxicity, in patients with a history of baclofen overdose, in patients receiving intrathecal baclofen or intrathecal baclofen with severe renal impairment, or in patients who are being treated for baclofen intoxication. Patients with a history of baclofen toxicity should be monitored for adverse effects.
The most common adverse reactions include somnolence, weakness, drowsiness, tremor, and hypotension, which have been reported with oral baclofen, but not with parenteral baclofen. Baclofen should be used with caution in patients with a history of central nervous system disorders. Discontinuation of baclofen should be accompanied by symptomatic symptomatic improvement in the first month or in the second month of treatment.
The Prescribed Drug is not intended for use in children, adolescents, or elderly patients with cerebrovascular disease or predisposing conditions. It should be used with caution in these patients to avoid excessive fluctuations in blood pressure. It should be used with caution in patients with a history of or predisposition to central nervous system disorders. Baclofen should be taken at the lowest effective dose, and for the shortest duration, not less than 2 hours before or after meals. Baclofen should be taken with food.
Use of baclofen should be avoided in patients with a history of cerebrovascular disease, cerebral palsy, or other central nervous system disorders. Baclofen should be used with caution in patients with a history of cerebrovascular disease. In patients with a history of cerebrovascular disease, abrupt removal of the spinal cord and/or stroke should be considered. Baclofen should be used with caution in patients with a cerebrovascular accident, cerebral palsy, or other central nervous system disorder. Baclofen should be used with caution in patients with an active infection. Baclofen should be used with caution in patients with a history of cerebrovascular disease, cerebral palsy, or other central nervous system disorder.
Patients with a history of seizures, such as those with multiple sclerosis, should be carefully monitored with baclofen as a precautionary measure to prevent permanent sequelae. Patients with a history of seizures should be monitored with baclofen as a precautionary measure. Patients with a history of seizures should be carefully monitored with baclofen as a precautionary measure.
Use of baclofen in patients with a cerebrovascular accident or a history of seizures may result in an increased risk of serious cardiovascular events. Patients with a cerebrovascular accident should be monitored closely for cardiac abnormalities (eg, arrhythmias, hypotension), and those with a history of central nervous system disorders should be observed closely for any signs of transient ischemic attack (TIA). Patients with a history of seizures should be observed closely for signs of TIA.
Baclofen is used to treat muscle spasms caused due to cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, stroke or due to any other nerve or spinal cord disorders.
Baclofen: Muscle Relaxants
Baclofen is a muscle relaxant. It acts by increasing the effects of certain chemical messengers (such as GABA) in the spinal cord that induces muscle relaxation. As a result, it prevents muscle twitching, relieves pain caused due to muscle spasms and improves muscle movement.
Consult your doctor:
Usually, Baclofen does not cause side effects in the long term. It is important to consult your doctor if you experience symptoms do not change your diet or lifestyle and are not able to pass urine.
Baclofen may cause dizziness or light-headedness, so it is important to drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration and also to check your blood pressure after taking it.
There are several safe and effective treatments for muscle spasms, but if you experience any of the side effects, stop taking Baclofen and consult your doctor.

I have been on baclofen for two weeks and I was very nervous about getting on it. It's not as fast as baclofen, but I've been on it for about four weeks. I'm not a fan of swallowing pills, but I have to say it's amazing. The effect was amazing. The only side effects were headache, stuffy nose and my liver function was severely low. I was able to keep on it for a few months and now I can do almost all of the work I need to do. I can't use it because I'm too sick to do it. I also don't want to be addicted. I've been taking it for 6 months now, I haven't had anything to worry about. I also haven't been feeling much for a while because I haven't been doing a good enough job with my life. I'm so depressed now that I can't concentrate and sleep, I just can't do anything. I don't think I want to be addicted to baclofen. I do want to go to bed and feel normal again. I think I will be able to quit baclofen in a few weeks and have another good experience.

It's an incredible medicine. I took it for 2 months with no side effects and still couldn't go to sleep. I had no urge to eat. I didn't feel sleepy and my blood pressure increased. I'm so sorry for the negative reviews. I don't want to go to bed and not be addicted. I do not have any thoughts of becoming a person again. I would recommend it. I'm so sorry for my low self esteem. I don't have any thoughts of becoming a person again. |
